The Chapin Family performed a Tribute to Harry Chapin concert at the annual outdoor Downers Grove Heritage Festival. Tom had performed his family concert earlier that day. Tom performed his family concert here annually until 2010 when the festival was canceled for budgetary reasons. Rain was forecast but did not appear. A tribute concert in 2009 in Downers Grove was not as fortunate as lightning canceled the concert.
